With a view of one of the most iconic buildings in the Byron Shire, and views overlooking the bay, it is worth a pit stop at the Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe for a breather.
Mamma thinks this is one of the best places to get your early morning coffee or smoothie when you are doing the lighthouse sunrise walk … and it’s pretty darn good for lunch after a swim too!
Pizza, burgers, fish, salads, coffee, take home meals and a general store! Eat here for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Come straight from the beach, or on your way to catch some waves.
You won’t miss out on any beautiful sunshine and sea breezes here, there are plenty of tables, without feeling crowded, plus an all-day breakfast menu!
Now THIS is a great place - the Stockpot Kitchen has been around for a few years now serving up BBQ, fried chicken and some very popular Pho and other local faves.
If you are looking for something easy and convenient for feeding with the family - the Byron Corner Store is a sandwich bar that offers a great range of foods and drinks for yourself and your little ones and right in the heart of Jonson Street.
Set inside the Enchanted Wood Nursery, this new cafe is worth a visit! And a great way to justify buying a few plants for yourself.
When a claim is made of “The Best Burgers in Bruns”, one must test this claim.
Perched over the corner of Lawson and Jonson Streets, you can do some great people watching while you down some oysters and a cheeky cocktail.
Mamma LOVES a cafe play area combo - it’s even better when the food is THIS GOOD.
When you need a fast Mex hit, Mamma says drop in here. This is the ultimate in no mess and no fuss family dining. Mamma loves the Byron Bay Chilli sauce choices and says go HOT or GO HOME!
The perfect pit-stop pick-me-up! Mamma says you must stop by the Beach Take Away Kiosk for some snacks and drinks on your way to Clarkes Beach with the kiddos.
The Three Blue Ducks guys can do no wrong it seems with their philosophy of local produce, low waste and ethical farming, but not only that - the menu here is amazing!
Grab some board games for the kids and get a spot under the giant Fig out In the courtyard. Hopefully you will get to see some great live music while you are here too!
This has to be Mamma’s favourite Vietnamese eatery within the Shire! The food is just so light, delicious and bursting with so much flavour! Such a beautiful energy in this place and tasty food.
Say ‘cheers’ when your favourites are a hot chocolate and kid’s avo on toast! But be prepared to have a bit of a decision to make choosing what you want to eat at Yum Yum’s… because it is all pretty “yum yum”!
Just up the hill from Clarkes Beach this cafe should be one of your go-to’s for something delicious to eat or drink after your swim.
On any typically gorgeous Byron day, it is perfect to sit outside in the sunshine at one of their recycled barrel tables. Or sit around one of the planter boxes and enjoy some coffee with your Vit D. PS try a focaccia if they have any left!
Doma Cafe in Federal is one of those delights you happen to stumble across on a lazy day while going for a drive.
These guys have a really nice menu to choose from, lots of deliciousness to fill the hungry bellies! Plus, this cafe surprised Mamma, from the bucket of chalk to the cute takeaway section (Leaf & Grain) next door.
Mamma loves the eclectic furniture and the hidden-away aspect of this popular bohemian restaurant. Enjoy a late afternoon swim at the beach before dropping in for an early dinner!
Sneakily hidden between the industrial estate and town, Folk is at the entrance to Discovery Parks, and is a popular spot for coffee all day long. Mamma loves that these guys are organic, ethical and plant based .. perfectly Byron really!
